Later in 2010, TMZ released a video of Miley Cyrus, then 16, giving Adam Shankman, producer of The Last Song, a lap dance at the film's wrap party. Miley Cyrus's father defended her actions, saying Miley was just "having fun" and that "it's what people her age do".
As of June 2010, Miley Cyrus is set to star in three more films, Wings, LOL (Laughing Out Loud), and Wake. In LOL, a remake of a 2008 French teen comedy, Cyrus plays "a daughter who is involved with all the wrong kids, doing drugs, failing school, but [...whose] mother has her on this perfect pedestal" and says "[She] just fell in love with the story." Wings, based on the first novel in a planned four-book series written by Aprilynne Pike, would star Cyrus as Laurel, a fifteen year old who discovers she is a fairy. Wake, a Paramount Pictures/MTV Films thriller, is based on the first novel in a trilogy by Lisa McMann and would star Cyrus as dream-traveling Janie.
On June 18, 2010 Miley Cyrus performed a duet with Bret Michaels of the Poison classic, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," on ABC's "Good Morning America" summer concert series.
